Our Vision

Love God

It is our purpose here at NHC to provide an atmosphere where individuals can experience a loving God. This is primarily accomplished through our worship services.

When we worship together, we strive to create an atmosphere where everyone can connect with God. As we pray together, we are communing with God through Christ. Prayer helps us to know God, and to fall deeper in love with Him. As the Holy Scriptures are opened, we are inspired and refreshed as we witness the grandness of God.

Loving God is the basis of everything we do. It's Step #1, if you will. For more information, find out about our services.

Love People

We make one commitment to you: "We will love you. Regardless of your past, your appearance, your shame, your lifestyle, or your mistakes, we will LOVE YOU!" This love for people prompts action, such as our feeding the hungry, visiting the oppressed, comforting the hurting, caring for the chldren, and being Christ to the world. You are more than welcome to attend a worship service and love God with us, but we expect everyone to eventually become part of this movement of love. You do this step by becoming a disciple, getting a heart from God for people, loving your fellow disciples, and then acting on your love by serving others.

Serve Others

Serving others is the ultimate goal at NHC. We desire everyone to grow and mature, through loving God and loving people, to the point where they want to become ministers to those in their lives. This is Step #3.

We have to admit, this vision is plagiarized. It was originally taught by Jesus Christ in Matthew 22:37-40:

Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (NIV)
