Small Groups

No matter what God has gifted you to do, you'll find a place at NHC where you can put your talents to use. Here are some areas where you can get immediately involved:

Gideon's Call

  • Adult Leader
    Provide spiritual support and accountibilty for student leaders in Gideon's Call.
  • Administrative Support
    Assist with the design and development of materials for Gideon's Call services, promotions and special events.
  • The Press
    Volunteer your time on Friday Nights to help run and chaperone all the action at The Press.

Children

  • Nursery
    Help make sure babies are comfortable and happy while their parents attend services.
  • nhcKIDZ
    Assist with the Sunday morning children's service. Need helpers, puppeteers, and energetic people who love children.

Visiting the Opressed

  • Ministry Volunteers
    Ladies who are willing to sacrifce one night a week to love and comfort women and children in a local shelter.

First Impressions

  • Greeter
    Greet attendees and guests with a warm welcome and a smile.
  • Usher
    Help guests find seating or their way around the facility. Assist with receiving the offering.

Performing Arts

  • Vocalist or Instrumentalist
    Perform in worship services and for special events.
  • Drama
    Develop, direct, stage, write, or act in dramatic presentations to help with sermon illustration.
  • Dance
    Lead or be involved in a team that uses dance as a form of worship.

Creative and Technical Arts

  • Equipment Operator
    Operate sound, lighting and video equipment for Sunday services and special events.
  • Media Development
    Make sure service media is cutting-edge and technology implementation is effective. Continually brainstorm and present ways that service media and technology implementation could be improved.
  • Media Production
    Create original media content for sermon illustrations and special promotions, including video presentations, computer animations, custom music tracks, and more.

Communication Arts

  • Writing
    Write compelling and effective copy for articles, promotional pieces, web pages, and more.
  • Proofing / Editing
    Review written materials for accuracy, quality, effectiveness and style.
  • Creative Development
    Take the vision presented by the pastoral staff and brainstorm creative ways to share those ideas with the congregation and community.
  • Graphic Design
    Create graphic elements for promotions and sermon illustrations.
  • Web Development
    Create multimedia content for the website and work to keep it cutting-edge.

Facility Support

  • Upkeep and Care
    Help keep the inside of the church clean and inviting.
  • Maintenance
    Help out with projects involving plumbing, electric, HVAC, general construction and more. Work to keep the church in good repair.
  • Groundskeeping
    Assist with planting and landscape care, snow removal, and more.
  • Set Design and Development
    Design and build sets and backgrounds for the platform to help with sermon illustrations.
